Day 1. Yangon Arrival

Arrive at Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to hotel. Special evening visit to the massive Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture.
Overnight at Yangon.



 

Day 2. Yangon - Heho - Pindaya - Inle (By Flight)

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning fly to Heho. And then drive to Pindaya, it is a small quiet town, about 65 kilometers north of Heho, to visit Pindaya Lake (Poktaloke Kan) and Pindaya Cave, home to over 8,000 Buddha images of various size. Enjoy the great scenic beauties of the countryside along the road. After that proceed to Inle. Overnight at Inle.

Day 3. Inle Lake sightseeing

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning visit to Inle Lake, this vast picturesque lake, 900 meters above sea-level, 22 km long and 10 km wide, famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauties. Tour highlights include: Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating gardens; floating markets; natives’ method of fishing; traditional weaving industry and village life on the lake.
Overnight at Inle.
 

Day 4. Inle - Heho - Kyaing Tong (By Flight)

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning transfer to Heho Airport for flight to Kyaing Tong, it is the capital of Eastern Shan State. We can see the native people of Akha, Lahu, Gon Shan and Wa hill tribes. Afternoon City tour to visit Pagodas and Temples, the old palace of Shan Saw Bwa (Shan Chief), pottery work, an old church and gigantic old tree aged over 200 years.
Overnight at Kyaing Tong.

Day 5. Kyaing Tong Sightseeing

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning visit to colourful Kyaing Tong Market, where one can see several hill tribes, people shopping fresh vegetables and all sorts of regional products. Then excursion to near by Akha and Lahu villages, see their daily activities especially their traditional way of weaving and enjoy the magnificent view of the landscape as well. In the late afternoon return to Kyaing Tong.
Overnight at Kyaing Tong.
 

Day 6. Kyaing Tong - Mandalay (By Flight)

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay International airport and transfer to hotel.

In the afternoon visit to the venerable Mahamuni Pagoda; Myanmar traditional handicraft workshops: marble works, woodcarvings, gold-leaf making and tapestry works, Mandalay Royal Palace; Zegyo market; Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world’s biggest book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures and Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for panoramic view of the city.

Day 7. Mandalay - Amarapura - Mingun - Mandalay

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning excursion to ancient capital Amarapura, 11km south of Mandalay. Highlights: Maha-gandayon Monastery (Buddhist University); 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge and silk weaving industry.

Afternoon excursion to Mingun by boat, 11 km up-river from Mandalay on the western bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Tour highlights include: huge unfinished Mingun Pagoda; Sattawya Pagoda with marble foot-print of Buddha; 90 tons Mingun Bell, the largest uncracked ringing bell in the world and Myatheindan Pagoda with seven concentric terraces. Then return to Mandalay, 45 minutes boat trip is a very pleasant way to see the life along the Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 8. Mandalay - Bagan (By Boat)

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning boat cruise to the Ayeyarwady River to Bagan, about 295 km. southwest of Mandalay. ETD, 07:00 and ETA, 18:00 (Depending on river condition. If the water is low at the river, it might take longer). En route enjoy the great scenic beauties of the countryside along the Ayeyarwady River. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.
Overnight at Bagan.

Day 9. Bagan Sightseeing

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning sightseeing to Nyaung Oo Market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Kyansittha Umin, a tunnel with an interesting feature of paintings; Wetkyi-Inn Gubyaukkyi Temple, with fine mural paintings of Jataka scenes; Htilominlo Temple, noted for its plaster carvings and Tharabar Gate, the only remaining gate of 9th Century A.D.

Afternoon sightseeing include: Archaeological Museum; Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; Ananda Okkyaung, a brick monastery with 18th Century mural paintings; Thatbyinnyu Temple, the highest of Bagan temples; Dhammayangyi, a massive temple with the finest brick works: lacquerware industry; Mingalazedi, the last pagoda in Bagan dynasty and Shwesandaw Pagoda, especially for the sunset.

Day 10. Bagan - Mt. Popa - Bagan (By Coach)

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning visit to Mt. Popa, it is an extinct volcano and the home of the powerful spirits knowns as “Nats”. Time to climb the 777 stepts to the shrine at the top to enjoy the panoramic view of the area. And then return to Bagan. Afternoon sightseeing in Bagan, the rest of the pagodas and monasteries.
Overnight at Bagan.

Day 11. Bagan - Thandwe - Ngapali (By Flight)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Transfer to airport for flight to Thandwe. On arrival, transfer 10 km, 20 minutes drive to Ngapali beach. Located on the shores of the Bays of Bengal, this beautiful beach with white beach and crystal clear sea water.

Overnight at Ngapali Beach.

Day 14. Ngapali - Thandwe - Yangon (By Flight)

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning transfer to Thandwe Airport for flight to Yangon.

Afternoon sightseeing to Kabaaye (World Peace) Pagoda; Mahapasana Guha Cave, where sixth Buddhist synod took place; Chaukhtatkyi, a colossal reclining Buddha Image; Karaweik Hall, a Royal Barge on the Royal Lake; and National Museum.

Overnight at Yangon.

Day 15. Yangon Departure

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market, Myanmar famous gems and jewellery sales centers and Sule Pagoda, in the city centre.
Afternoon transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure flight.
